DAY 3 – Unreal view over 3 turquoise lakes

This day was a day of fighting. The sun fighting the clouds. We fighting the altitude. And both were struggling. The minute we dared to take off our sweater and enjoy the sunshine on our arms, clouds advance and even attack with snow. But today was most of all a day of breathtaking beauty. The three lakes view over Lagunas Quesillacocha, Siulacocha and Gangrajanca exceeded our highest expectations. We spend hours absorbing the view and couldn’t get used to it. We didn’t want to leave. It really was a challenge, both leaving the outlook and the remaining 300 m of steep elevation gain that was waiting for us… However, with looking back every two steps, we made it just on time to set up our tent before storm. What a day. Could the views still get better?
